A major issue the Provincial Mothers Union of Solomon Islands is tackling is domestic violence and the abuse of children.
Members of the Mother’s Union participated in a Leadership and Management training coordinated by the Institute for Mission and Research that also teaches leaders to lead in identifying solutions to the challenges of the times.
They believe domestic violence and child abuse requires visionary, firm leadership skills to tackle.
The Mother’s Union is responding through its Positive Parenting program to these issues and other social issues that overwhelm Solomon Islands society.
